WateringWater plants during the morning or evening, try to avoid watering during the hottest part of the day and avoid watering the foliage as well as this can cause damage in hot weather

RosesKeep spraying with Rose Clear to avoid diseases like mildew and rust and it will also keep greenfly at bay, or just rub the greenfly off the buds with your fingers if you want to avoid using pesticides

RhubarbFinish picking your rhubarb as it will be getting a bit woody and stringy after June.

Lily Beetle
Lily Beetle Alert!Keep a look out for Lily Beetle on your Lilies and Fritillarias, mine have just come under attack! Lily Beetle are bright scarlet on the top so easy to spot but they can be difficult to catch as they release a pheremone when under attack which warns the other bettles and they all fall off the plant and land upside-down, exposing their dark underside, making them difficult to see! Unfortunatly the best way to dispose of them is to squash them - not for the faint hearted - but they can quickly strip a plant so they're worth looking out for!
